Industrial sectors are improving their energy efficiency and increasing share of renewables for heating cooling demands by using lower emission technologies. One specific approach to help achieve these targets is the integration heat pumps (HPs) in industrial processes. However, due temporal variation requirements non-continuous processes, HP challenging. In this paper, a structured method design proposed. The implements an engineer-centred workflow that extends concept Indirect Source Sink Profile (ISSP) integration. For purpose, adapted Grand Composite Curve derived from ISSP. This ensures correct across pinch while maintaining temperature lift small. proposed applied demonstration case study industry. both cases, resulting system with integrated enables elimination hot utility demand significantly reduces cold demands. static paybacks solutions range 4.5 5 year.
